We Built This in the Middle of a Tornado.
Serve.Love didn’t start with a strategy deck. It started with an EF-3 tornado tearing through our town, and a group of neighbors trying to coordinate relief out of a spreadsheet that broke exactly when it mattered most.
We went to a pantry to help three families. Word got out. People kept showing up — to get help, and to give it. Three families became 680.
What we learned in those weeks is the whole reason this exists: a family looking for food this week and a neighbor looking for a way to help are really the same problem, just looking for each other. Nobody had built the thing that introduces them. So we did.
So we know what your Tuesday feels like — the clipboard, the group text, the sinking feeling you’re doing this alone. You’re not. And your volunteers are closer than you think.
