Questions We Hear

We have years of data in Volgistics. Can we migrate?
Yes. Export your volunteer database from Volgistics and we'll import it with historical data. We've migrated organizations with extensive Volgistics history. The transition typically takes a few days.
Is the modern interface actually easier, or just prettier?
Both. AI event creation means describing what you need instead of filling forms. Geofencing means hours track themselves. Auto-recruiting means dormant volunteers get re-engaged without you writing emails. "Easier" means less work, not just nicer colors.
What about Volgistics' detailed hour reporting?
We have comprehensive hour tracking and reporting. If you need to track hours by specific service categories, we can do that. The difference is that our hours often get logged automatically via geofencing, so your reports are more accurate because there's less "forgot to log" data.
Why haven't we heard of Serve.Love before?
A tornado hit our town in the middle of building this software. We spent a year pivoting to disaster relief—coordinating 680+ family events—before returning to the product roadmap. We're not a VC-funded marketing machine. We're on the ground with our favorite nonprofits, learning what works and what doesn't, building this collaboratively as partners with deep tech experience solving a real problem.
Volgistics has been around since 1998. Is newer actually better?
For database depth, longevity has value. For modern volunteer management? AI, mobile-first, automatic tracking—these require building from scratch with current technology. Volgistics can't bolt on what we built natively. We're a United Way Social Innovation Grant Winner with proven disaster-scale coordination. Modern doesn't mean untested.
